Wild Bill

In a saloon in Wild West, a man bursts through the doors.

“Wild Bill is coming!”

Everyone runs. Doors slam, shutters bang shut. In a minute the street is empty and the saloon holds only the bartender, frozen behind the counter.

Then come the hoofbeats.

A rider appears at full gallop — mounted on a buffalo, whipping it with a live rattlesnake. He rides straight through the swinging doors, hurls the snake against the wall so hard its head splits open, and swings down from the buffalo’s back.

“Whiskey!”

The bartender pours with shaking hands.

“M-may I ask what brings you to town?”

“Just taking a whiskey, before Wild Bill arrives”
